March 2025 became a month of trials and togetherness for us. A massive flood struck Condet and Pasar Minggu, submerging homes, destroying belongings, and even devastating our community library. Yet in the midst of rising waters and muddy remains, Pelangi Eka Nusa stepped forward to initiate a relief effort for the surrounding community, joined by donors and partners who gave their full support.
Pelangi Eka Nusa moved with simplicity yet sincerity; distributing ready-to-eat meals, mattresses, diapers, undergarments for children and adults, sanitary pads, and proper clothing. All of this was made possible thanks to the compassion of many who entrusted their contributions to be delivered through this initiative. The relief post became more than a place of distribution; it turned into a space of smiles, embraces, and shared strength.
Even though our library, Teras Ciliwung, was submerged, the spirit of literacy and solidarity did not drown. From those damaged walls, we learned that togetherness is the most beautiful page that can be rewritten after disaster. We believe that every act of support whether from neighbors, donors, partners, or us as the driving force can spark great hope, because when we care for each other, we are never truly alone.
