In a modest corner of a school stands a sturdy "house of words" called the Pelangi Wall Magazine (Mading Pelangi), measuring 180 x 120 cm, framed in solid acrylic that withstands time and impact. This wall magazine is not just a display—it’s a friend that arrives bearing stories, knowledge, and imagination for the children of Indonesia. It speaks in language that’s easy to digest, painted in colors that ignite enthusiasm, and illustrated with images that bring the heart’s content to life. Mading Pelangi flows into schools that care, embracing students hungry for information and curiosity.

Mading Pelangi doesn’t just tell stories about the world—it invites everyone to share their own: children, teachers, and anyone moved to offer a piece of inspiration. Each edition features 12 sections, including both informative and interactive columns—two large windows to learn about the world and converse with it. Elementary students will find joy in the edition “Friend of Indonesian Children,” high school students see themselves reflected in “Friend of Young Indonesians,” while adult readers are invited to journey through “Mading Move On.” Everyone is welcome to contribute, column by column, because Mading Pelangi is a shared space born of collaboration and the desire to give.

Published twice a month, Mading Pelangi isn’t limited to the capital city—it reaches five border regions, 22 cities, 25 remote villages, and 180 schools across Indonesia, connecting with over 65,000 students. It’s not just to be read; past editions are donated so that knowledge and stories don’t stop in one place, but continue flowing to other schools in need. To this day, its back issues have filled the walls of 130 schools, including in Bengkalis–Dumai and Fakfak–Papua, stitching together the spirit of Indonesia from west to east. This magazine is more than a publication—it’s the heartbeat of a quiet movement powered by volunteers and the Pelangi Eka Nusa team, who wholeheartedly weave words into light.

Mading Pelangi also holds Teaching Excellence workshops for educators, because great education starts with enlightened teachers. Distribution, printing, and training are all made possible by care and a collective spirit to build together. This wall magazine is not an industrial product—it is a product of love made organized, a labor of mutual aid transformed into a colorful window for the nation's children. Mading Pelangi is a calling to us all: let us create, share, and become friends of Indonesia’s future.
